What very strange twists human nature takes! It is frustrating that the article does not have more details; something exceptionally odd must have been going on with those stupidly vicious young men.
Orphaned and stranded in the wilds of Eastern Washington when still an infant, I was taken in by a patch of thistles. The thistles reared me as one of their own, teaching me their ways of stinging and of driving away. Awed by my motility, they bade me go forth into the world of men and to bring among them a great stinging, in their homes and in their public spaces, that all might know the power of the thistles.
